What is Montessori?

In short, Montessori is an experience for children created by providing an environment of beautifully made materials to explore. The children move through these materials at their own free will, and at their own pace. Each material is designed to highlight a different learning concept, from stereognostic awareness to language and math, and everything in between. It is a holistic approach that focuses on development of the whole child.

The educator’s role is to observe and document the children’s interactions with the materials, and provide well-timed information to bring the understanding to a deeper level. Each child is treated as unique, and guided by a one-on-one approach.

At the core of our values is respect and love, which we incorporate into every aspect of our classroom environment.
